Inspired by the concept of infinite loops, "Abstract Form II" is a study in continuity. The
mobius-like structure challenges the eye to find a beginning or an end, representing the eternal
cycle of nature and thought.
Technical Details
Carved from a single block of Thassos white marble, known for its brilliant, snowy appearance.
The piece is polished to a 3000-grit finish. Dimensions: 80 x 80 x 40 cm. Weight: 110kg.
The Process
The challenge of this piece was the negative space. Diamond wire saws were used to open the
center of the block, followed by months of slow abrasion to curve the inner surfaces. The
geometry had to be mathematically precise before the final smoothing could soften the edges into
organic flow.
Artist's Note
"I wanted to carve movement itself. Stone is static, but the line is not. If you follow the edge
of this piece with your eye, you never stop moving. It is a kinetic sculpture trapped in a
frozen medium."
